A few weeks back, we interviewed Brett Garman, PeakRadar.com’s program manager at the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region. Anything you need to know about the Arts & Culture scene in the community, just ask, she has the answer.
Brett is also involved with many organizations, and supports Bristol Brewing Co. She’s a rock star! It’s true. So we just had to ask her, “COSrocks because…?”
Sunday is The Walking Dead day! Starting at 3 p.m., Downtown Colorado Springs’ Brewer’s Republic will host The Walking Dead Season 2 marathon on TV leading up to the Season 2 midseason premiere at 7 p.m. Plus, they’ll have pints of Upslope’s Foreign Stout all day for only $3/pint during the zombie apocalypse run. Come on out and get your fill of great beer and zombie goodness at Brewer’s! Valentine’s Day is near, and zombies love (your brains).
COSrocks Talks with foodie and entrepreneur Zack Travis…the burrito guy…
There’s a new breakfast spot in Downtown Colorado Springs and it’s a great alternative for people on the move. If you haven’t already, you should check out The Downtown Burrito Company - a food cart currently on Tejon Street and Pikes Peak Avenue, just across from Vladimir Jones.
In the meantime, hear why Zack Travis (a.k.a. “The Burrito Guy”) thinks COS rocks… Follow him on Twitter, while you’re at it.
COSrocks Talks with Alicia Prescott, Executive Pastry Chef at the Blue Star/Nosh/Old School Bakery & Cafe…
Many people have asked about the progress of the bakery opening in Ivywild across the street from The Blue Star (and Bristol Brewing Co.). While it’s not open yet, you can taste the work in progress, try what they are baking (breads and pastries, yum!) and give your feedback. The Old School Bakery (via The Blue Star) and Alicia are more reasons why Colorado Springs ROCKS! Hear her reasons why #COSrocks.
Side bar: Alicia is the reining 2008 winner of the Chef’s Gala dessert category for her Chocolate Truffle Hazelnut Torte w/ Mini Cannoil & Espresso Crème Anglaise. She also won People’s Choice at Glass Slipper Ball for Lemon Raspberry Charlotte Russe w/ Lemon Curd Sauce.
